Myrrh is a natural resin obtained from Commiphora myrrha, a species found in the arid lowlands of the Horn of Africa and Arabia.
This Ethiopian variety appears in grains with a dark reddish-brown color, opaque on the outside. When burned on charcoal, it releases an intense citrusy, pungent, warm, and resinous aroma, with notes of orange and spices.
Myrrh is one of the most widely used resins since ancient times, appreciated for its strong, persistent fragrance and its many properties.
