Messer is a natural resin produced from Boswellia papyrifera, a tree species found in the highland regions of Ethiopia, Sudan, and Eritrea. It is one of the historically most important Boswellia species in the incense trade.
It appears in small grains or tears, light yellow or golden in color. It has a fresh citrusy, resinous, and spicy aroma, with nuances of lemon and beeswax. Ideal for scenting and purifying spaces, it is one of the most appreciated resins for fumigation rituals.

Botany: species belonging to the Burseraceae family, grows on the hilly and mountainous areas of Ethiopia, at an altitude ranging from 400 to 1900 metres a.s.l.. It can reach a height of 8 metres.
