INCENSE AND CHAKRAS
When we started our business entirely dedicated to incense, in the distant year 2004, the market offered very few qualities, mostly with scarce or inaccurate information. From the outset, we chose a scientific approach to properly understand and educate others about these matters, studying botany, phytochemistry, and traditional medicine.
The latter, which we consider to be the basis of modern medicine, is the product of observing nature, an innate and essential process for humans integrated into their biological cycle, aimed at seeking methods to protect their own life, their loved ones, and their community.
Every civilization has developed its own knowledge of plants and the benefits that could be derived from their healing properties, creating complex systems of ancient knowledge that for millennia have constituted the essential understanding of traditional healers.
These sets of knowledge are now studied by ethnopharmacology, but just as they have been the basis of traditional medicine in their countries of origin for millennia, the world’s thirst for knowledge of such healing systems is increasing, and such knowledge is now considered complementary alternative medicines, being taken seriously by professionals worldwide, far beyond their respective countries of origin.
Just as acupuncture has brought traditional Chinese medicine outside of China, and yoga has spread knowledge of chakras passed down from the ancient Indo-Vedic culture around the world, the love for incense, used for millennia by African populations, is also greatly expanding thanks to the knowledge of their various medicinal properties in addition to their renowned aromatic qualities. The interest of our culture in such ancient remedies and practices arises from the need to find new and effective methods to achieve a state of well-being and balance between body, mind, and spirit.
Collaborating with an energy techniques professional allowed us to investigate the multiple pranic and vibrational qualities of different resins, learning how chakras and the entire energy body can be effectively influenced and supported by their use. To make such valuable information available to everyone, we deemed it important to include the results of our research in the description placed on the individual incense packages, summarizing the interaction between our chakras and the resins and describing, in the frequency note, the action that each resin performs on a subtle energetic level. It was interesting to discover how some incenses are perfect for energy clearing of the environment or have a more grounding and centering effect, while others promote a state of emotional lightness and greater spiritual connection.
We are convinced that such information coming from the past is the basis of the present and a guide for the future, and over time, these will constitute an essential set of knowledge that is indispensable for using incense.
